You may recall that last week I took my cat in to the vet because he had been losing weight. Well, it turns out that Boswell, my cat, has feline diabetes. When I saw the vet earlier this week he showed me his blood results and his glucose level was 654! The normal range, in case you’re wondering is between 90-100, so it’s no wonder my cat isn’t doing well.
My vet gave me some prescription cat food which is very high in protein so that we can see if that will fix Boswell. We’re going to try that for a week and then see if his blood has changed. If not, then I’ll have to give him shots.
So there, now you know. This I can say for sure, I love my cat dearly, and will take care of him until I have to bury him.
