This morning I had a great conversation with John Gordon, the author of the book The Lord and the Landscaper and I will be posting our interview later today. And all I can tell you is that if you want a great little book that has great testimonies of how God has worked in John’s life, you have to get this book. It’s a quick read, and very encouraging.
But here’s the other thing, as is often when I do interviews, our call ended up lasting almost 2 hours. Don’t get me wrong, not all my interviews go that long, but it is common for me to talk to my guests off line and honestly it is one of my favorite things.
One thing I shared with John off line was that one of the things I enjoy about my ministry is that I get to talk to Christians who are not necessarily well known. And while I have been blessed to be able to interview some pretty big “Christian celebrities” I often find some of the more famous people uptight or not as engaged. I’m not sure why, but that’s been my experience.
