12 LBS Down…

A month ago I ventured to support my husband with his 21 day cleanse, except he started a little bit late. But I knew I would be doing the same program and so I figured why not begin early. I’m really glad that I did. One month ago when I weighed myself I was 12.5 lbs. heavier. I only started the actual cleanse program a week ago tomorrow – meaning actually taking those supplements that my body needs. So I am very encouraged by the success that I’ve had because I know it wasn’t the supplements that caused the weight loss – instead it was the healthy change in eating.

Has this been easy? NO…NO…and NO NO. Are you kidding me! It hasn’t been easy, but it has taught me much.

Like I wrote a few days ago, it’s about reframing how I look at what I eat. Do I want to serve sugar or be healthy? Do I want to remain faithful in this area as much as I try to be faithful in other areas….that is a very different way of reframing it for me. Because if I choose to be faithful, then I am choosing to walk in the Spirit because one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit is faithfulness. When we walk in the Spirit, we do not carry out the desires of the flesh.

And I have noticed that I really am not craving much of anything. I haven’t eaten sugar, wheat or dairy products and I’ve lived to tell about it.

Now what I find totally funny is that Oprah apparently is also doing a 21 day cleanse. Except she’s into her New Age guru and her false teachings. You can read about that here if you really want. :)
